The Problem

Poor Infrastructure Costs More Than You Think.

Most businesses and properties operate on a patchwork of physical keys, pin codes, and access cards that cannot be revoked instantly, cannot be audited in real-time, and cannot adapt when someone leaves the organisation. Traditional access control is reactive. Cloud-based PDK access control is intelligent — giving you total visibility and instant control from anywhere in the world.

Our Approach

Enterprise Architecture. No Compromises.

Three foundations of commercial network infrastructure that replace consumer-grade systems with a platform built for uptime, scale, and security.

Cat 6A structured cabling
01

Structured Cabling & Fibre

Cat 6A rated to 10Gbps across every run. Fibre inter-building and backbone connections where performance demands it. Every cable terminated, tested, and certified to TIA-568 standards. Full documentation at handover — as-built drawings, test results, port schedules.

02

Enterprise Switching & Routing

Managed switching with VLAN segmentation, QoS for VoIP and video, and redundant uplinks. Ubiquiti UniFi and Pakedge platforms, configured and managed centrally. Your network traffic is prioritised, secured, and monitored in real time from a single cloud dashboard.

03

Wi-Fi 6E Coverage

High-density wireless for open offices, warehouses, hospitality, and multi-floor facilities. Every access point placed by RF analysis, not guesswork. Centralised management, guest isolation, and real-time monitoring from a single cloud dashboard.

What We Deliver

Four Layers of Enterprise Performance.

01
Physical Foundation

Cat 6A Cabling Built to Last

Cat 6A rated to 10Gbps across the full 100-metre run. Every cable is terminated, labelled, and certified. As-built documentation, test results, and port schedules are included at handover as standard on every project.

  • 10Gbps-rated Cat 6A to every endpoint — no exceptions
  • OM4 multimode and OS2 single-mode fibre for backbone runs
  • Every run tested and certified to TIA-568 standards
  • Full as-built documentation package at handover

Switching & Routing

Managed Networks Built for Business

Ubiquiti UniFi and Pakedge managed switching with VLAN segmentation, QoS for VoIP and video, PoE for cameras and access points, and redundant uplinks. Your network is segregated, secured, and monitored — not a flat network that exposes every device to every other.

  • VLAN segmentation for security, guest, and operational traffic
  • QoS configured for VoIP, video, and business-critical systems
  • PoE switching for cameras, access points, and IP phones
  • Redundant uplinks and failover routing where required

Wireless Coverage

Wi-Fi 6E That Performs Under Load

High-density wireless engineered for real commercial load — not consumer routers on a shelf. Full RF site survey before deployment. Ubiquiti Wi-Fi 6E access points placed by analysis, not guesswork. High-density deployments up to 1,000 concurrent clients with zero dead zones.

  • Full RF site survey and heatmapping before deployment
  • High-density deployments for offices, warehouses, and hospitality
  • Guest network isolation and captive portal configuration
  • Centralised cloud controller with real-time monitoring

Security & Monitoring

Network Security From the Ground Up

Security built into the network layer, not bolted on after. Firewall policy, 802.1X port authentication, encrypted management traffic, and 24/7 proactive monitoring. We identify and resolve issues before your team notices them — not after they call the help desk.

  • 802.1X port authentication for device identity verification
  • Firewall policy and inter-VLAN routing control
  • 24/7 proactive monitoring with alert-based response
  • Managed service plans available for ongoing support

Why MK Technology

The Network Partner Your IT Team Will Thank You For.

01

Certified Expertise

Ubiquiti Authorised and Pakedge Certified. Our engineers understand enterprise networking at the protocol level, not just the configuration interface. We specify, deploy, and support infrastructure built to perform for decades.

02

In-House Always

Zero subcontractors on commercial network projects. The engineer who designed your system runs the cable, terminates the connections, and signs off on the test results. One team. Complete accountability.

No Subcontractors Ever
03

Full Documentation

As-built drawings, test results, port schedules, and credentials handed over at completion. Your IT team has everything they need to manage, expand, and troubleshoot the network long after we leave.

Ongoing Support

From managed service contracts with 24/7 monitoring to ad-hoc support, we maintain the systems we install. When your business has a problem, you speak to an engineer who knows your environment.

Managed Services Available

MK Technology didn't just install an access system — they transformed how our entire facility is managed. Zero unauthorised entries since day one. That speaks for itself.

The PDK platform is genuinely remarkable. Managing 200 users across three buildings is now something I do from my phone in under a minute. It just works.

We were sceptical about moving away from traditional key cards. Now our entire team uses their phones. Zero complaints, zero lockouts, zero lost credentials.

I called at 8:45 on a Friday evening — a door wouldn't lock before a holiday weekend. Someone answered, someone showed up, and the system was secured before we closed.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Cat 6 and Cat 6A for a commercial installation?
Cat 6 supports 10Gbps only up to 37 metres. Cat 6A maintains 10Gbps across the full 100-metre run and has significantly better alien crosstalk performance in high-density cable bundles. For commercial installations we specify Cat 6A on every project. The cost difference is minimal — the performance difference over a 20-year installation life is substantial.
How many access points do we need for our office or facility?
It depends entirely on your building construction, client density, and the applications in use. A 5,000 sq ft open office and a 5,000 sq ft concrete warehouse with 100 handheld scanners require fundamentally different deployments. We conduct a full RF site survey before designing your wireless network — we do not quote access point counts without one.
Can you work around our business hours to minimise disruption?
Yes. Commercial network installations are phased around your operation. We schedule cabling work in sections, maintain live connections throughout, and conduct final cutover during off-hours or weekends. We have completed network upgrades for 24/7 facilities with zero business interruption through careful staging and temporary bridging.
Do you provide documentation and as-built drawings?
Full documentation is standard on every commercial project. The handover package includes as-built floor plans with cable routes and port locations, test results for every Cat 6A run, fibre OTDR traces, network topology diagrams, equipment configuration exports, and a complete port schedule. Your IT team receives everything they need to manage and expand the network.
Can you upgrade our existing network rather than replace it entirely?
Often yes. We audit your existing infrastructure first — testing cable performance and reviewing switch configurations. Where existing cabling passes performance tests, we retain it. A phased upgrade is frequently the most cost-effective approach for established facilities.
What ongoing support do you offer after installation?
We offer managed service agreements covering 24/7 network monitoring, proactive alerting, remote configuration management, firmware updates, and on-site response. For businesses without in-house IT, we become your network team. For those with IT staff, we provide a specialist layer for infrastructure management and complex troubleshooting.
What areas of South Carolina do you serve?
We serve the entire state including Pawleys Island, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Georgetown, Summerville, Columbia, Greenville, and Fort Mill. If your project is in South Carolina, we can help.
How much does a commercial network installation cost?
Every project is scoped individually after a site survey. A focused office network upgrade for 50 users typically ranges from $15,000 to $35,000 installed. Large multi-building campus projects are scoped based on drop count, fibre runs, and equipment specification. We provide detailed itemised proposals after assessing your facility.
